The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) co-ordinates the development of the Virtual University of Small States of the Commonwealth on behalf of Commonwealth Ministers of Education.

The Virtual University of Small States of the Commonwealth is not a tertiary institution. Rather, it is a mechanism for small countries to collaboratively develop, adapt and share courses and learning materials.

VUSSC Capacity Building Workshops

The Virtual University of Small States of the Commonwealth helps small island states build capacity of their educational institutions, to support the creation of accreditation mechanisms and to facilitate the offering of educational programmes by small states for themselves and others.
